History
Atlantis Industries was founded in 1962 and has been privately owned ever since. In 2008, Atlantis was sold to a private ownership group and is still owned by that same group today. Atlantis was located in Milton, Delaware until January of 2018 when we moved to a new 40,000 ft2 state-of-the-art facility located in Georgetown, Delaware. This new facility allows for significant growth and was designed to accommodate a forward-thinking organization.
About Us
Atlantis Industries is focused on developing real relationships with our customers and delivering exceptional quality products, on time, at a competitive price. We value collaborating with customers and potential customers to solve problems, launch new products, and improve current processes. We genuinely care about our partners in business and do our best to provide top-notch service.
For nearly 60 years we have offered a wide range of capabilities for injection molded plastics. We have a stellar reputation in plastic injection molding, mold design, and mold building and the forward thinking belief of adding value through process innovation.
We produce complex parts and assemblies in the defense, medical, automotive, consumer, commercial firearms, pharmaceutical, fringe medical, and industrial markets. These are typically highly engineered, tight-tolerance, plastic injection molding arenas. We are dedicated to the manufacture of premium quality injection molded parts and assemblies.
Our mold designers work with our engineers in the earliest stages of development to discuss material selection and design for manufacturability. This often requires the use of sophisticated modeling programs including finite element analysis and mold flow analysis.
When it is time for production, we provide a full range of precision injection molding technologies utilizing state-of-the art equipment in the hands of a highly experienced and dedicated workforce. Our facility houses presses with 85 to 787 ton ratings for handling shot sizes from less than 3 oz. all the way up to 92 oz. As a turnkey supplier, we have a staff of mold and tool professionals as well as overseas mold making resources for budget-constrained applications. Well-engineered, precision-built, and meticulously maintained tooling, combined with advanced process controls, allow us to mold to very tight tolerances. We also offer numerous value-added services to streamline your supply chain while providing measurable cost savings. We accomplish this with our Lean/Six Sigma program, which is championed by our on staff Six Sigma Black-Belt and Green-Belts.
Our quality performance is ensured with robust inspection including optical and contact dimensional testing. Our secondary operations include plastic part machining, ultra-sonic welding, pad printing, priming, taping, and manual and automated assembly. We maintain several certifications and registrations including ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 quality management programs, which places great emphasis on all factors involved in production and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
